A small humble team from McComb, MS, started out on a journey. Well, it wasn't that long ago actually!
We have COME SO FAR, though, from last year as a rookie team to this year as a State Championship participant and we are beaming with pride! We spent this last weekend scouting other teams, sharing robot parts, making friends, smiling and laughing. It has taken a day to recover but we are all back to our normal routines.
At one point, we ran out of replacement connectors for our battery and might have been dead in the water. Technocats, our friends from Bogue Chitto, came to our rescue as they handed us their spare part! Challenge Accepted, another community team, (they won the Championship!) also helped us out with some wires! FIRST is truly a community!
We are proud to come home with the first nomination for the Think Award and a trophy for the Collins Aerospace Innovate Award!
At the MS State Championship, teams like to exchange pins with their team logo and number on them. We did that and it was a cool to see what other teams pins looked like. We made pins with our team logo, "We put the FUN in Malfunction." Our coach also made limited edition pins that ended up being the most sought after pin of the day! Only 30 in production...
